Vestiges is a furniture collection built on the belief that intentional making is a radical act. By studying three nearly-forgotten craft traditions, the Roman workbench, the Welsh stick chair, and the Shaker trestle table,  the project argues that to build with material intelligence is to preserve something essential about human experience. The result is a table, bench, and chair
hand-built using traditional staked and mortise-and-tenon construction.
